Nagpur: Continuous heavy rainfall over the past four days has disrupted life in Nagpur. The Regional Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the district. The torrential rains have caused rivers and streams to overflow and roads to flood across the city. Amidst this, an incident of land subsidence in Subhan Nagar, Pardi, has created panic among the locals.
Previously, rains in the Subhan Nagar area had caused two large pits, each around 20 to 25 feet deep. This year, the subsidence has created another pit, approximately 20 feet deep. The affected area includes a section of a concrete road, and with houses located nearby, residents are expressing their fears and concerns.
