Nagpur: The Nagpur district administration will organise ‘Mahasanskrutik Mahotsav’ at Ramtek city from January 19 to 23, informed Dr Vipin Itankar, District Collector. He was addressing a press conference at Bachat Bhavan, Collectorate on Thursday.
The administration is organising the event to provide a national platform to folk and local art. National and international level artists along with local ones will perform in the five-day-cultural festival.
Hema Malini, Kailash Kher, Suresh Wadekar and Hansraj Ranghuvanshi have already confirmed their participation in the festival. More famous artists are likely to perform in the event. The event will be held in two phases — first half for local artists and the second half for national and international level artists. The programme will be held at Nehru Ground in Ramtek.
The administration is providing all facilities to visitors at the venue. To attract more audience, MSRTC will run extra buses from Nagpur to Ramtek during the cultural festival, informed Dr Itankar. The inauguration of the five-day cultural festival will be held in presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
