Nagpur: Heritage International School, Gorewada, commemorated India’s Independence Day with a series of solemn and spirited activities. The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by the Principal, followed by the entire student body paying tribute through a synchronized salute and the rendition of the National Anthem.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades, each proudly wearing their uniforms adorned with the tricolour. The day’s program featured a blend of inspiring speeches and thought-provoking performances that underscored the significance of India’s independence.
Younger students set the tone with heartfelt speeches reflecting on the importance of the day. Students from grades 8, 9, and 10 further enriched the event by presenting skits that highlighted key national themes. Through their performances, they explored fundamental rights and duties, emphasized the urgent need for tiger conservation, and celebrated India’s unity in diversity.
These skits not only showcased the students’ talents but also deepened their understanding of critical national issues, fostering a strong sense of patriotism and civic responsibility.
