DJ banned during Ganapati procession ,High Court notice to Police Commissioner

Nagpur: The Nagpur Division of the Mumbai High Court has given a notice to the Police Commissioner demanding an explanation as to why the the use of DJ has been banned during Ganapati procession. Justice Pratap Hardaas and Justice Arun Chaudhari had asked for a reply by 24th September on the filed request. Pankaj Devidas Dahikar of Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Khatikpura Timki had filed the petition. In this Petition the defendants were Principal Secretary of Litigation Department, Police Director General and Police Commissioner including Police officers of the Tehsil police. On 10 Sep,Tehsil police had asked petitioner not to use DJ sound system during the entire Ganesh Utsav and also asked to guarantee the same by writing a letter.
