High Court turns down the plea of Avinash Bhute of Tajshree Group

: The Division Bench of the Bombay High Court, Bench at Nagpur declined to quash the First Information Report lodged against Avinash Bhute of the Tajashree Group.

Bhute who has been arrayed as an accused in the Wasankar Scam and has been booked under sections 420,406,506,120B of the Indian Penal Code apart from Section 3 of the MPID Act, in Crime No. 156/2014 had moved the High court seeking quashing of the FIR against him. Bhute claimed to be an investor himself and contended that he had himself was victimized by Wasankar.

Justices B.R Gavai and J.V.M Deshpande while refusing to enter into the merits of the matter permitted Bhute to withdraw his plea and granted him liberty to move a discharge application in future if such contingency arises. The State was represented by Assistant Government Pleader V.A Thakare. Avinash Bhute was represented by Senior Advocate Avinash Gupta, R.K Tiwari and Aakash Gupta Advocates.
