Saint Kemaji Maharaj of Selu Ghorad in Wardha district used to visit Kalameshwar regularly every year to get spiritual satisfaction. Murharnath was the elder brother of Siddha Yogi Paramhansa Sant Tukaram Maharaj of Mohapa. Maharaj’s original name was Dajiba. Sadguru Linganath of the Nath sect came to Kalameshwar on his own accord from Edalabad. Sadguru Lingnath gave real revelation to Murharnath. Sadguru Lingnath came to Mohapa from Kalameshwar after giving grace to Dajiba. Dajiba granted him grace there and accepted the idol of Sadguru and brought the idol to the Vitthal Temple in Kalameshwar and installed it.

Swayambhu Kadambashwar Shiva temple is situated to the north of the river that flows through the neighbourhood of the village. Scholars are of the opinion that Kadambeshwar became Kalameshwar.
