Actor Salman Khan is guilty of running over pavement dwellers with his SUV 13 years ago, a court in Mumbai has said. 1 person had died and 4 were injured.

The actor – who flew back to Mumbai yesterday from Kashmir, where he has been shooting for his new film Bajrangi Bhaijaan – was driven to court by his driver Ashok Singh, who has told the court that it was he and not Salman who was driving the car that day in 2002.

Salman Khan, 49, may face up to 10 years in prison under section 304 Part II of IPC.

A string of 28 witnesses, including survivors of the crash, have testified that Khan was at the wheel when his vehicle crashed at speed into a group of men sleeping on the street in September 2002.
