Hitavada Editor Phanshikar gets Lokmanya Tilak Jeevan Gaurav Journalism Award

Nagpur: The Editor of The Hitavada Vijay Phanshikar and the Weekly Vivek Editor Ramesh Patange have been conferred with Maharashtra Government’s Lokmanya Tilak Jeevan Gaurav Journalism Award for the year 2016 and 2017 respectively. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Fadnavis also announced different awards for journalists for reporting on development works. For the year 2016, the State-level Balshastri Jambhekar Puraskar will be given to Rajesh Joshte of Ratnagiri-based Dainik Pudhari while for the year 2017, the award has been bagged by Lumakant Nalavade, reporter of Dainik Sakal, Kolhapur. The awards will be conferred at the hands of the Chief Minister at a programme to be held in Mumbai soon.
