Nagpur News: The Holika Dahan celebrations Sunday night turned bloody and sort of gang war broke out in which 5-6 people were injured, some of them seriously.
According to police, a musical programme to mark Holika Dahan celebrations was going at about 2230 hours on Sunday at Tijare Layout vacant ground near 8th Mile on Nagpur-Amravati Road coming under Wadi Police Station. At the same time, some persons were creating ruckus at the spot. Santosh Yejumalai Murgan (31), resident of Plot No. 447, Near 8th Mile, Ramji Ambedkar Nagar, Wadi asked them to stop creating ruckus and leave the place. However, instead of leaving the place, the persons who were creating a scene, got angry with Santosh Murgan and attacked him with beer bottles, wooden sticks, stones, bricks and hit Murgan on his head and chest leaving him bloody and seriously injured. The attackers were identified Rajpal Bhagwan Dhoke (26), Rajesh Bhagwan Dhoke (25), Sachin Deepak Chorpagar (22), Sunil Chatur (22), Raja Chaudhari, Beby Bhagwan Dhoke (45) and Bhagwan Dhoke, all residents of Ramji Ambedkar Nagar, 8th Mile, Wadi. Actin g on the complaint of Santosh Murgan, Wadi PSI Sonde booked the accused under Sections of 143, 147, 148, 149, 326 of the IPC and arrested Rajpal Bhagwan Dhoke, Rajesh Bhagwan Dhoke, Beby Bhagwan Dhoke and Bhagwan Dhoke.
However, after being attacked by the accused in the above said incident, the same Santosh Yejumalai Murgan himself had gone berserk after creating a drama. Santosh Murgan was dancing at the same place (Tijare Layout vacant ground near 8th Mile) where Holika Dahan celebrations were going on.

While dancing, a kid got pushed by Murgan. But instead of taking it easy, Santosh Murgan started beating the kid. Rajesh Bhagwan Dhoke and his friends rushed towards the kid to save him and also pacify Santosh Murgan. But the action of Rajesh Bhagwan Dhoke and his friends enraged Murgan. Thereafter, Murgan and his accomplices Prakash Dilip Wankhede (26), Dhiraj Chanlal Uike (28), Nandkishore Chanlal Uike (30), Amardeep Rahul Lamsunge (34), all residents of Ramji Ambedkar Nagar, and their two other accomplices, attacked Rajesh Bhagwan Dhoke, his brother, his father and mother with iron rods and wooden sticks.
Wadi police have booked the accused under Sections 143, 147, 148, 149, 324 of the IPC and have put Santosh Murgan, Prakash Dilip Wankhede, Dhiraj Chanlal Uike, Nandkishore Chanlal Uike, Amardeep Rahul Lamsunge under arrest.
