Nagpur: In an outrageous incident, some unidentified hooligans entered Bishop Cotton School, situated on VIP Road in Dharampeth locality of Nagpur, and vandalised it. The incident came to notice on Monday after the school opened after two days of holiday.
Reports said that the flowerpots in the school were broken to pieces. In many classrooms, smashed liquor bottles were found strewn all over. Some property was also damaged by the anti-social elements. The school was closed for two days on Saturday and Sunday. It seems, some drunkards made the school their den for enjoying liquor when the school was closed.
A shocked Principal Sonia Singh immediately registered a complaint with the police. A team of cops rushed to the school and started investigation. They are scanning CCTV footage on the VIP Road and nearby the school.
Details are awaited.
