Nagpur: A doctor from Hope Hospital Nagpur first defaulted on a loan of Rs 60 lakh taken from a finance company and later thrashed the company’s manager with the help of two of his accomplices. Pachpaoli police have the booked the doctor, identified as BK Murli, 49, for assault, criminal intimidation and other charges under section of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Police sources said Murli had called Raghavendra Jadon, who works as a manager at a finance company, to collect the pending money to the company. Murli had taken a loan for around Rs 60 lakh a few months back. As he defaulted on payments, the company officials used to call him.
On Tuesday, Murli called Jadon to come to the hospital to collect the money, where a quarrel broke out between the two. Murli and two others thrashed Jadun and also threatened him. Jadon managed to flee and rushed to Pachpaoli police to lodge a complaint.
