Burglars become richer and a house-owner poorer by Rs 5,00,000 in the ever growing house breakings in the Second Capital City of Nagpur.
According to police, the victim house-owner, Vijay Tijare (45), resident of Mahalaxami Nagar, Narsala, Nagpur, along with family, had gone to the residence of his in-laws to attend a birthday function at about 4 pm on Sunday. At the same time, some unidentified criminals broke open the entry door lock and cleaned Tijare’s house with gold-silver ornaments and Rs 7,500 cash. The booty collectively worth Rs 5,00,000 was stolen by the house-breakers between 4 pm and 6.45 pm. The theft came to notice when Vijay Tijare returned home. He was shocked to find door lock broken and ornaments and cash missing. Tijare immediately lodged a complaint with Hudkeshwar Police Station. Police have registered a theft offence and are probing the matter further.
