Housebreak at Janki Nagar; cash, valuables worth Rs 2 lakh burgled

Nagpur: In an incident of housebreaking at Janki Nagar under Hudkeshwar police station, gold ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen away. Govindrao Mowade(36), a resident of Plot No. 112, Janki Nagar, had gone to a village on Friday at 7 pm.

Meanwhile, an unidentified thief sneaked into the house after breaking open latch of front door and decamped with gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh. The incident came to fore on Monday 9.30 pm when Mowade family returned home.

They noticed broken latch of the door and found jewellery missing from almirah. After realising theft, Sagar informed Hudkeshwar police. Hudkeshwar police registered the case under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code
