Housebreaking in new Kamptee, Yashodhara Nagar relieves owners of Rs 1.88 lakh

Nagpur: In two separate cases of housebreaking reported under new Kamptee and Yashodhara police stations in Nagpur, the thieves reportedly broke into two houses and decamped with gold, cash and other valuables collectively worth Rs 1.88 lakh between November 7 and 8.

In the first incident, complainant Vandana Gaurishankar Dahre (52), a resident of Supare Nagar, Yerkheda told cops that she’s road side vendor. She had gone out by locking the main door between 10 am and 9 pm on November 8. However, some miscreants reportedly gained entry in her house by breaking the window and decamped with gold ornaments and cash Rs 50,000 to the tune of Rs 1,33,060.

Following the complaint, new Kamptee police have registered a case under Sections 454, 380 of the IPC and started the probe.

In the similar incident, a 67-year-old Ashok Jagdish Tiwari, a resident of Vrundavan Nagar had gone to Seoni in Madhya Pradesh on November 7. He came back a day later only to find his house in ransacked condition. Some miscreants had reportedly broken into his house by breaking the latch of the main door and escaped with gold and cash collectively of Rs 55,000.

Based on the complaint filed by Tiwari, Yashodhara Nagar police have booked the unidentified burglars under Sections 454,457,380 of the IPC and started the probe.
