Nagpur: In two cases of housebreaking reported under Hudkeshwar and New Kamptee Police jurisdiction, some miscreants broke into two houses when the family was away and decamped with gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 3.04 lakh. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 454, 457, 380 in both the cases.
In the first incident, a 58-year-old complainant Mujahid Khan Pathan Samad Khan Pathad, a resident of Nilkamal Society, Narsala Road had gone to Pavani, Bhandara between July 20 and July 25 this year. In the meantime, some miscreants reportedly gained entry into his house by breaking the kitchen door and stole Rs 60,000 along with gold and silver ornaments collectively worth Rs 1 lakh. The burglary came to fore on Sunday, when Khan returned to Nagpur. Following which he approached Hudkeshwar Police Station.
Similarly, Sahid Abdul Wahid Khan (37), a resident of BB Colony under New Kamptee Police had gone out on Sunday night. Capitalizing the situation some burglars struck his house and decamped with gold ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs 1.42 lakh.
