HSC results likely to be announced in first week of June

Nagpur:Candidates who have appeared for the HSC (Class 12) examinations will be able to check their results once they are declared at the official website. The HSC results are expected to be released in the first week of June 2015. Last year, i.e. 2014 the results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) were declared on June 2, 2014.

In order to check the HSC results, it is important for the students to visit the official website and click on the HSC result 2015 and enter the required details and submit it.

According to the statistics available with the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.03% in 2014. A total of 12, 00,549 candidates had registered for the HSC (class 12th) exam out of which 11, 98,859 candidates appeared for the exam and 10,79,332 aspirants cleared the exam. A total of 4, 50,176 candidates belonged to the Science stream, 4, 66,723 appeared from the Arts stream, 3, 62,705 opted from the Commerce stream and 54,347 were from the vocational stream that sat for the exams.

The Board conducts examination twice a year and the number of students appearing for the main examination is around 14 lakhs for HSC and 17 lakhs for SSC. There are about 21000 schools (SSC) and 7000 (HSC) Higher Secondary Schools / Junior Colleges in the entire state.
