Nagpur News : A month before the first wedding anniversary, MIDC police has arrested a 28-year-old Ghanshyam Ingase for abetment of his wife’s suicide who had set herself ablaze on July 21 at her Jaitala residence.
Besides abetment charges, police has booked Ingase and his sister Ranjana Londe for allegedly torturing and harassing Varsha Ingase, 24, and forced her to end her life. Varsha’s parents filed a police complaint alleging that Ingase and Londe would mercilessly beat their daughter to bring money to buy a plot. Ingase, a private firm employee, had tied the knot with Varsha in September last year.
“Ingase wanted to buy a plot in Jaitala and thus he had demanded a high amount from Varsha’s parents. He would often send her back to her parent’s house to bring the cash. Had no other option left, Varsha committed suicide,” told police.
