Nagpur: As per the decisions taken by the AICC, press conferences were held at 23 places across the country today. One of them being Nagpur.
Senior Congress leader Mohan Prakash while addressing a press conference in Nagpur named ‘Hum Adani Ke Hai Kaun’ said that the grand-old party stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of India who are struggling against the rising prices, unemployment and government-sponsored divisive agenda to deflect the public attention from its governance failures.
Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on Adani share fall, Prakash said that the central government may have expunged senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s questions and AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge’s speech in the parliament but the whole country is watching what exactly is happening in the biggest democracy of the world.
He further claimed that people of India are intelligent enough to know why the Prime Minister facilitated a crony capitalist and how he climbed to the second richest person position in India during the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said, “Modi had promised to bring back black money to India and transfer Rs. 15-20 lakh to every citizen’s bank account, but the harsh reality is quite the opposite. The last annual data from Switzerland’s central bank informed that-Funds parked by Indian individuals and firms in Swiss banks, including through India-based branches and other financial institutions, jumped to a 14-year-high of 3.83 billion Swiss francs (over 230,500 crore) in 2021.”
