Human skeleton found in Koradi’s Suradevi

Probe reveals, the skeleton is of brick-kiln owner, allegedly killed and buried by brother

Nagpur: Sensation prevailed at Suradevi in Koradi area after a human skeleton was found on Thursday morning.

Preliminary investigation by police revealed that the skeleton was of brick kiln owner Vilas Jaichand Hingankar who was allegedly killed and buried by his brother Chandan Hingankar and servant Mannu Dudhbarbe to destroy the evidence. Cops took Chandan and Mannu into custody for interrogation.

Vilas and Chandan allegedly were at loggerheads over some property issues. Vilas allegedly used to fight with his brother Chandan and servant Mannu after consuming liquor. Six-seven months ago, Chandan and Mannu allegedly hatched a plan to kill Vilas. Accordingly, they allegedly killed Vilas with a sickle. They then allegedly dug a pit in the brick kiln area using an earth moving machine and buried Vilas’s body.

As Vilas was reported missing, Koradi Police under the leadership of Senior Inspector Vijay Naik started the probe. Some Suradevi residents informed the police about the alleged involvement of Chandan and Mannu in killing Vilas. Cops arrested them on suspicion. Police exhumed the body and sent it for autopsy. Further probe by forensic experts was on.
