Nagpur: A dowry greedy husband, his parents, and brother have been booked on the charges of abetting suicide by a young woman on Tuesday. The young married woman Reshma alias Sonu Hemraj Motghare (26) of Girhe Layout, Koradi, ended her life by hanging to the ceiling around 9.30 am on Tuesday.
The detailed investigation revealed that Reshma’s husband Hemraj Radheshyam Motghare (29), father-in-law Radheshyam Motghare (60), mother-in-law Sheela Radheshyam Motghare (55), and brother-in-law Sandeep Radheshyam Motghare (23), all residents of Girhe Layout, Koradi used to torment her, mentally and physically, for bringing more and more dowry money from her parents. The four accused were torturing Reshma frequently. Fed with the torture, Reshma decided to take the extreme step on Tuesdayand subsequently hanged herself in her house.
Koradi WPSI Tarale, based on a complaint filed by deceased Reshma’s father Rajhans Shankar Wanjari (55) of Kalamna, has registered a case under Sections 304(B), 34 of IPC against the four accused Hemraj Motghare, Radheshyam Motghare, Sheela Motghare, and Sandeep Motghare and launched an in-depth probe into the matter.
