HVPM felicitates winners of 39th Gymnastics Championship, Training Camp concludes

Parents should not limit their wards to only summer camps but continuously inspire them for achievement of excellence in sports field,” appealed Maharashtra’s Deputy Director of Sports Dr Jaiprakash Duble on Saturday. He was speaking at a programme organized by Shri Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal (HVPM) to felicitate sportspersons. The programme, held at 8 am on May 10 in HVPM’s Anant Krida Mandir in Amravati, marked conclusion of Divisional Gymnastics Training Camp and felicitation of winners of 39th Gymnastics Championship. Dr Chandrashekhar Kulkarni, President of Amravati District Amateurs Gymnastics Association, presided over the function.

Other prominent personalities present on the dais include District Sports Officer Avinash Pund, former Principal of DCPE Vasantrao Harne, Prof Madhuritai Chendke, HVPM Secretary Adv Kalpesh Shah, President of District Bar Council Adv Chandrashekhar Dorle, and Dr Subhashchandra Sharma. The programme was conducted by Prof Ashish Hatekar while introduction was made by Chief Coach Prof Sanjay Hirode.

HVPM conducted the Divisional Gymnastics Training Camp from April 15 to May 10. Similarly, 39th Gymnastics Championship was organized from May 6 to 9 with participation of sportspersons trained at the Camp. The meritorious sportspersons of the Championship were awarded trophies and medalson Saturday.

• Junior Girls Rhythmic Gymnastics Winners: First: Janhavi Tidke. Second: Ritika Vyas.
• Senior Girls Rythmic Gymnastics Winners: First: Sakshi Vyas. Second: Gauri Bhave.
• Winners of Artistic Gymnastics in age group of 12 years (Girls): First: Shruti Wankhede. Second: Jointly by Rashmi Gaekwad and Gayatri Uparikar. Third: Jointly by Shweta Korode and Bhagyashri Kalane.
• Winners of Artistic Gymnastics in age group of 14 years (Girls): First: Shruti Pande. Second: Jointly by Rutuja Satpute and Rutuja Rutuja Kale. Third: Jointly by Radhika Mankar and Vaidehi Kale.

Before the prize distribution, players displayed their skills in Tower Pyramid, Aerobics Gymnastics, Wall Pyramid, Roman Ring and Vault demonstrations.
