IBM top official, five others commits suicides in a day

Nagpur News : Six suicide cases including of a top official of IBM (Indian Bureau of Mines) was reported at different city police stations in city in the last 24 hours.

Gulab Singh Masarkolhe, 56, was among the senior officials at IBM office at civil lines. He was found hanged at his Adivasi society residence in Dabha under the jurisdiction of Gittikhadan police station area on Wednesday morning. Police said that no suicide note was found from Masarkolhe. However, his family claimed that he was depressed over his prolonged illness and thus might have chose to end his life.

Homemaker Lata Gurav, 45 of Jaripatka set herself ablaze due to her illness on Tuesday late night.

A 24-year-old Nitesh Naharkar jumped into well near his Bhaldarpura residence on Tuesday evening. No suicide note was found and a case of an accidental death was registered at Ganeshpeth police station.

At Wadi, a labourer Ravi Dhomne hanged himself under depression after his wife left him a month before. His body was found at his Mohade lay-out residence on Tuesday evening.

Kapoor Waghmare, 55, set himself ablaze under the influence of alcohol at his house in Chandramani Nagar on Tuesday midnight. Ajni police has registered a case.

A 73-year-old Ashok Desai, a resident of Ambedkar Sqaure in Lakadganj police station area, died of consuming poison on Tuesday night. He succumbed during treatment at a private hospital on Wednesday evening.
