Nagpur: In a bid to highlight the nuisance caused by constant vehicle horn honking, Nagpur Police, led by Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Singal, reached out to Nagpurians on the streets to promote the ‘No Honking in City’ campaign that started on Monday.
Starting Monday, the Nagpur Police launched a special campaign to combat the pressing issue of excessive honking on city roads.
On Monday morning, CP Singal kickstarted the Nagpur Police’s movement against honking from Variety Square, Sitabuldi. The top cop also urged motorists to avoid unnecessary honking on this occasion.
Subsequently, a delegation of cops comprising Joint Commissioner of Police Aswati Dorje, Additional CPs Sanjay Patil and Pramod Shelware, DCP Traffic Shashikant Satav, and others also raised awareness about the campaign at Samvidhan Square and Shankar Nagar Chowk.
