In Pics: Spiritual fervor lights up Nagpur as historic Shri Ram Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav unfolds in Ayodhya

Nagpur: In a heartwarming display of spiritual devotion, Second Capital of the State spared no effort in preparing for the momentous Shri Ram Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav, which unfolded in the city on Tuesday.

The entire city radiated a festive atmosphere as residential colonies, housing societies, social organizations, political parties, religious groups, temple trusts, and senior citizens’ groups eagerly joined the celebration of Shri Ram’s consecration. Vibrant flags, colorful buntings, banners, and decorative pandals adorned every nook and cranny of Nagpur.

A myriad of events had been meticulously planned to mark the auspicious occasion across Nagpur. Temples were transformed into breathtaking spectacles with floral arrangements and dazzling lights. The Poddareshwar Ram Mandir near Ram Jhula stood out as a visual delight.

Diverse cultural and social activities took center stage, featuring the depiction of Ramayan scenes through Ramlalla Shoba Yatra, Shishu Ramlila, Sundar Kand, and initiatives such as blood donation camps, organized by various groups.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari pays tribute to Lord Ram at Poddareshwar Ram Mandir in Nagpur. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis actively participated in the organized programs across the city, dedicated to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram on Monday.

Fadnavis conducted the aarti at Shri Ram Mandir, Ram Nagar, with the event skillfully anchored by Shailesh Joglekar. Additionally, the lighting of Shri Ram Jyoti at Laxmi Bhavan Chowk was conducted by Fadnavis, with Shashank Dabholkar serving as the program’s host.

Prominent temples in Nagpur, including Shri Ram Temple in Ramtek, Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Sansthan in Koradi, Sai Baba Mandir on Wardha Road, Ganesh Tekdi, and Tekdi Hanuman Mandir, embraced the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ festivities with fervor.

Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba Mandir in Koradi became a spectacle of beauty, adorned with flowers and lights for Monday’s event. To add sweetness to the celebrations, renowned chef Vishnu Manohar crafted 6,000 kg of ‘Ram Halwa,’ distributed as part of the festivities. The collective efforts of Nagpur’s residents made the Shri Ram Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav a memorable and spiritually enriching experience.
