Nagpur: The Two days training programme organized by G H Raisoni College of Engineering in association with National Human Rights Commission, India on the theme “Empowering Youth for Human Rights Advocacy” started with the Inaugural Ceremony on 23rd Feb 2024 at 09:45a.m. in the Mini Auditorium of the college where the event witnessed 120 students Participation. The programme commenced with a Welcome Note and Lamp Lightning seeking the divine blessings followed by the presentation of Preamble by Convener Prof. Manish Nair.
Hon’ Justice Smt. Vasanti Naik- Former Judge- Bombay High Court – graced the occasion as a Chief Guest and Dr. Renuka Sirpurkar- Lawyer in High Court as Guest of Honor. The Principal Convener and the Director of the college Dr. Sachin Untawale offered floral welcome and presented the Welcome address .

The Organising Chair of the event- Dr. Santosh Jaju, Deputy Director and Dean R&D addressed the gathering on the need for the topic. Dr. Renuka Sirpurkar addressed the participants on promoting such events for sound realization of Human Rights amongst students. Hon’ Justice Smt. Vasanti Naik sensitized various initiatives of Human Rights and embarked on the need of this in today’s youth. The Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Sindhu Panikar- Convener of the event. The Inaugural Programme concluded with the National Anthem. The entire team of the event extended their gratitude to the Patrons of this event – Hon’ble Shri Sunilji Raisoni Chairman, RGI and Mr.Shreyas Raisoni Executive Director, RGI for their consistent support for such momentous occasion.

Priyanka Chokhare- Child Welfare Committee Member, Dr. Ashlesha Nagdive- Member of International Human Right Judicial Protection Council, Dr. Rizwan Ahmed- Technology Leader, Entrepreneur, Keynote Speaker and Ms. Priyanka Sharma – Youth Influencer.
