Inauguration of UNNATI – A Personal Growth and Skill Development Program

The inauguration of UNNATI – A Personal Growth and Skill Development Program was jointly conducted by Dr Ambedkar College, Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur and Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) for the students of Arts, Commerce, and Science on the 10th of September, 2024, at the Main Auditorium of the College.

The function was graced by the well-known industrialist and Chairman of Chanvim Plastics, Hon’ble Rakesh Surana, as the Chief Guest. The President of the Smarak Samiti Deekshabhoomi, Nagpur, Hon’ble Badant Nagarjun Arya Surai Sasai, presided over the function. Dr (Mrs) Bhuwneshwari Mehere, Principal of the College; Kumar Zilpewar, lead faculty of UNNATI; Ms. Neelam Bowade, Convenor VIA HRD forum, Dr Deepa Panhekar, IQAC Coordinator of the College; and Dr. Akhil Ramteke, UNNATI Cell Coordinator were present, along with UNNATI Cell Members – Rita Lakkakul, Shama Khan, Rohini Meshram, Kajal Bambal, and Purvesh Fating.

In his address, Rakesh Surana stated that the youth are the drivers of the dream for a developed nation. He explained that Unnati should focus on identifying the skills that need development among students and emphasized the importance of practical experience. He also highlighted that no matter where you start, no job is small. He concluded by encouraging students to always follow their passion for success.

In his presidential address, Hon’ble Badant Nagarjun Arya Surai Sasai stressed that students should follow the principles of Panchsheel, taught by the Buddha, for human development and regularly study to gain expertise. He added that good thoughts and habits generate positive energy, which helps students excel not only in academics but also in all-round personality development.

Kumar Zilpewar highlighted that Unnati focuses on the development of attitude, time management, and personality growth. He encouraged students to aspire to be inspirational figures. Neelam Bowade spoke about key aspects of career building and mentioned that striving to become the best version of oneself is the ultimate goal of the Unnati program. Dr (Mrs) B.A. Mehere emphasized the importance of discipline and hard work. Dr Akhil Ramteke also addressed the gathering.

More than 150 students, along with teachers from various departments, attended the inaugural event. The program saw a large turnout of students.
