The most surprising fact is that the Income Tax raid has also been carried out on the Chairman of Tajabad Trust Pyare Khan who has a transport business and had also contributed immensely in the supply of oxygen during the Corona pandemic.

Interestingly, no Nagpur officer was involved in the massive raids conducted by a team of Income Tax from Mumbai. A team of 150 Income Tax officers from Mumbai has started coming to Nagpur on Tuesday night itself. During the raids, Nagpur police and CRPF jawans provided protection to the Income Tax sleuths.

The dibba business of Ravi Aggarwal is spread across Mumbai apart from Nagpur. Aggarwal runs ‘Chhatarpur Farm’ where big celebrations are organised. In 2015, his name figured in the dubious dibba trade and police initiated a major action against him. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) was also investigating Ravi Aggarwal. The outputs gathered by the ED were shared with the Income Tax Department. This is the reason the Income Tax Department conducted raids at many places in Nagpur.

Hawala and Dibba gangs are active in Nagpur city. Ravi Aggarwal’s company L-7 was involved in this in full force between 2008 and 2015. It also featured Karni Thavarani, Gopu Malu and Hemant Tanna, Israel Seth. Among them, Seth owns ‘Ginger Mall’ in the Jaripatka area.

After this Nagpur police took action against them. This action was taken against Aggarwal by the then DCP Dipali Masirkar.
