India Defeat England to Enter T20 WC Final by 68 Runs

In a thrilling match, India defeated England by 68 runs to secure their place in the T20 World Cup final.

Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav ran through England’s batting line-up, dismissing them for 103 to win by 68 runs and storm in to the T20 World Cup final, in Providence, Guyana, on Thursday.

India reserved their most emphatic performance for their most brutal payback. Rohit Sharma’s men outplayed defending champions England, who looked clueless in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 in Guyana on Thursday, June 27.

The Men in Blue progressed to the final of a T20 World Cup for the first time in 10 years, setting up a date in the title clash with South Africa in Barbados on Saturday, June 29.

India batted first and put up a challenging total of 171 runs, with significant contributions from Rohit Sharma, who scored 57 runs, and Suryakumar Yadav, who added 47 runs.

The Indian bowling attack was led by Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav, who each took 3 wickets, effectively dismantling the English batting lineup and ensuring India’s victory.
