An Induction Programme, ‘Prarambh’ was organized recently for newly admitted students to first year at Priyadarshini Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET). First Year Coordinator Prof. Rajeshri Puranik welcomed the students and highlighted the strengths of PIET that assure students of promising careers. On this occasion Dr. S. N. Rao, Dean, Academics, imbibed upon students how the virtues of dedication, discipline and a focused approach can shape the career of a student. Dr. Vivek Nanoti, Principal of the institute inspired students to develop a passion for learning to be successful engineers and good human beings.
He elaborated these ideas with the help of examples of students who accomplished extraordinary success with modest means. The Chief Guest of the function and Director of Lokmanya Tilak Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha, Mr. Abhijeet Deshmukh, congratulated the parents and students and appealed students to take advantage of the congenial academic atmosphere of the institute. Dr. R. V. Khirsagar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, RTMNU, guided students regarding how to face the ever growing field of engineering by setting higher goals and equipping oneself with necessary skills and knowledge to accomplish these goals. Co-coordinator of First year Dr. Maithili Barahate proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was successfully compered by Prof. Madhuri Langde. The programme was followed by visit of students and their parents, who attended the programme in large number, to various laboratories and facilities at PIET.
