Nagpur: The first international cartoon competition cum exhibition held in Civil lines Nagpur is attracting good crowds. The cartoons are on display today and tomorrow which is the last day.
The exhibition has been jointly arranged by two NGOs Genesys Foundation and Lalitya Foundation along with Vidarbha Cartoonist Association. It is on from 26th to 30th January.

What is significant is that it had the blessings of the world famous R.K. Laxman foundation known as R.K. Intellectual Property Rights Management pvt ltd. Usha Laxman, daughter in law of the late cartoonist was personally present for the inauguration and regaled the audience with interest anecdotes from Laxman’s life.
Other artists and theatre personalities like Vikas Sabnis and Ramesh Lakhamapure were present for the function.
Awards were also declared that day. The awardees are as follows-
1st winner – SK More – Nagpur
2nd winner -Mohraf Youssef – Syria
3rd winner – Ajit Goud- Yavatmal
