Nagpur: As reported today morning by NT, Maharashtra Govt has decided to hand over 289 acres of land to Reliance Aerostructure in the Mihan aviation hub here for setting up a facility to manufacture helicopters for both civilian and military operations.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will formally hand over the allotment letter to company chairman Anil Ambani on August 28 here. Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and state ministers Subhash Desai and Chandrashekhar Bawankule are also expected to attend the function, government sources said here today.
The proposed helicopter manufacturing facility will give a big boost to the Mihan project and development of the region besides generating employment opportunities for the locals.
