Tension ran high and tempers flared in Jariptka area of the city on Thursday when a 22-year old boy died suspiciously. The deceased has been identified as Pushpak Landge, resident of Zingabai Takli. However, the relatives of Pushpak allegedly blamed negligence on the part of a private hospital’s doctor for his death.

According to information, the 22-year old boy Pushpak fell ill with the running of high fever on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, around 12 noon, Pushpak went to the private hospital for check up. The doctor at the hospital administered an anti-fever injection. After taking the injection, Pushpak left for home on his two-wheeler. He asked his mother to prepare tea for taking medicines and also complained of intense pain in hand and throat. As soon as Pushpak’s mother went to kitchen for preparing tea she heard noise of Pushpak falling with a thud. She rushed to the room only to find that Pushpak lying on floor unconscious. Panicked by the situation, mother of Pushpak shouted for help and called the neighbours. A few minutes later it came to know that Pushpak had passed away.

Notably, Pushpak’s father died sometime back and was staying with mother and an elder sister. He was student of second year polytechnic in Fetri-based NIT College. His sudden death left the family shattered. Relatives of Pushpak are allegedly blaming the doctor at the private hospital for his death. However, the post-mortem report would clear the actual cause of Pushpak’s death.
