Nagpur: A keenly awaited and contested, Vidarbha Level Inter Collegiate Medical Quiz Contest was organised by Academy of Medical Sciences, Nagpur at J. R. Shaw Auditorium of I. M. A. North Ambazari Road, on Sunday 11 Oct.15 All the 6 Medical Colleges of Vidarbha are participated in the Quiz.
Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Sawangi, team scored highest and lifted AMS Quiz Trophy and won 10,000/- cash prize at the hands of Dr. S. Dasgupta, former Dean, NKPSIMS. , Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, were first runner up and won trophy and cash prize of Rs.7500/- while 2nd runner up GMC, Nagpur won cash prize of Rs. 5000/-
Other teams were Indira Gandhi Govt. Medical College, Nagpur; Govt. Medical College, Akola; NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences, Digdoh, Nagpur. Members of AMS, student community PG students, resident Doctors attended the quiz to cheer up their teams and learnt about many facts of Medical Sciences and enjoyed the contest There were Audience Questions and attractive spot prizes were given for correct answers.
Dr. Rajesh Singhvi, Chairman, AMS Quiz made introductory remarks. Dr. Meghana Agrawal, Dr. Swapna Khanzode, Dr. Anne Wilkinson conducted 6 various theme rounds as Quiz Masters. Dr. Naynesh Patel and Dr. Mukund Ganeriwal were scorers and time keepers. Dr. Chandrashekhar Cham managed auditorium audience questions.
Dr. Vivek Bhalerao, President, made opening welcome speech. Dr. Nirmal Jaiswal Secretary, proposed the vote of thanks.
