Nagpur: Deputy Mayor Satish Holay paid tributes to Padmashri Shyamlal Gupta, who penned the memorable song “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Hamara Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Nyara,” on his birth anniversary today (September 9). The Deputy Mayor visited the Memorial based at Dosar Bhavan Square, Central Avenue and remembered Gupta by laying a wreath on behalf of Nagpur city.
Holay recalled Padmashri Shyamlal Gupta’s contribution in freedom struggle and said the song “Jhanda Ucha Rahe Hamara Vijayi Vishwa Tiranga Nyara” continues to inspire generations after generations.
