Nagpur: A junior engineer, Akshay Manohar Agale (29), has been detained for demanding a bribe of Rs 1.7 lakh from a complainant in Gadchiroli district. The accused, who works with the Zilla Parishad Construction Sub Division in Dhanora, allegedly demanded the bribe for approving improved work at various locations.

The ACB has appealed to citizens to report any incidents of bribery by government officials or employees, promising to take swift action.
