To grace the occasion of Navratri and make Rotary families come together for celebrations, Ladies Comm organised a grand “Dhamaal Garba Nite” followed by dinner at Navedhyam Hall on Saturday 23rd September.
The program was well attended by 140 Rotarians, Rt Anns, guests and kids, who came adorned in traditional and colourful attires .The beautiful floral decorations , colourful matkas and diyas provided the perfect ambience.
Many participated in dancing to the tune of Dandiya and Garba beats around the “Garbha Deep” with full on energy and enthusiasm, while other’s enjoyed the colourful and vibrant atmosphere. A group of International Exchange students also performed at the event.
Maha Aarti was the highlight of the evening. Diyas were lighted by senior members, Ambe Maa’s aarti was religiously performed and prasaad distributed to all.
Navratri is one of the most vivacious festivals celebrated in our country. These nine days are filled with fun, frolic, dance and festivities all around. It not only symbolises the victory of good over evil but also celebrates the spirit of Indian culture in its togetherness.
