Nagpur: The Local Body Tax Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation on Monday conducted a search & seizure operation at M/s Chitransh Technology Pvt. Ltd., Indora Chowk, Nagpur. The firm is run by Sudhindra M. Mathur as its Managing Director. The company deals in advertisements through TV monitor system and installs TV monitors at business establishments on security deposit of Rs. 35,000 and pays Rs.7,000 per month to the owner towards space rent. The imports made by the company are about Rs. 6.11 crore and local purchases made are about Rs. 1.21 crore. During the search, documents of imports and local purchases made were found by the department. The company not being registered under LBT, the department sealed the godown owned by the company and purchase documents found in the office were seized for verification and fixing the LBT liability.
Similarly, M/s Mishra Electronics situated at Teka Naka and owned by Mahendra Ramavtar Mishra; a bulk supplier of TV sets to M/s Chitransh; was also searched. The dealer is registered under LBT and has made payments worth Rs. 4.00 lakh since inception of the tax system. Department has seized documents such as purchase invoice, sale invoice and transport challans from M/s Mishra Electronics and will verify the imports and local purchases made by the firm and sales made to M/s Chitransh Advt. Pvt. Ltd.
The search and seizure action was conducted by LBT Officers Yadav Jambhulkar; Assistant LBT Officers Lalit Rao, Sanjay Mendhule, Sumer Gajbhiye, Vilas Chahande, Suresh Dhupe, Puri and Dilip Mate, Junior Inspector Shailesh Bharadwaj under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Milind Meshram.
