Nagpur: In an outrageous incident, a 25-year old youth raped a 4-year old girl in Yashodhara Nagar area of the city. The demonic act was perpetrated by the youth on Saturday. The accused has been arrested.
According to police, the four-year old girl, a resident of Yashodhara Nagar, was playing in front of her house at about 3.30 pm on Saturday. At the same time, the lewd accused Dharmapal Devidas Gajbhiye (25) called the girl to his house on some pretext.
Dharmapal first indulged in vulgar acts and then raped the girl. The devastated act was noticed by her mother when the girl returned home. She immediately lodged a complaint with Yashodhara Nagar Police Station in this connection.

Acting on the complaint, Yashodhara Nagar PSI Kulthe booked Dharmapal Gajbhiye under Sections 376(2)(I) of the IPC and Sub-Sections 3,4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and arrested him. Further probe is underway.
