License of shopkeepers selling Kerosene in black suspended: Deshmukh

Nagpur News: The issue of PDS- licensed shopkeepers in Khaparkheda selling Kerosene in black was brought up in the House today by MLAs Chandrashekhar Bavankule and Devendra Fanavis.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukh said in a written reply that the Vijaya Mahila Audyogik Sanstha, responsible black- marketing 270 litres of Kerosene meant for the Public Distribution System in Khaparkheda till date, has been nabbed by the Khaparkheda Police.

Deshmukh also said that the District Food Supplies Officer had suspended the Vijaya Mahila Audyogik Sanstha’s license to sell oil on 16th November this year. A case has also been filed against the Sanstha’s head under sections 3 and 7 of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955 which is currently in court.
