Nagpur: Nagpur Police Chief Amitesh Kumar has second time tested positive for novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). With this total 1,319 officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Noorul Hasan, Dr Akshy Shinde and Sandeep Pakhale are also infected with virus borne disease.
CP Kumar was very cautiously following Covid Appropriate Behaviour in the wake of Third Wave. However, on seeing the symptoms two days back, he got tested. In the same, he was found infected with the virus. CP Kumar has quarantined himself at home. He has also urged his colleagues and contacts to get tested.
While CP is monitoring the situation by working from home, Joint Commissioner of Police Aswati Dorje is looking after the proceedings of the Nagpur Police Department.

Notably, the rapid infection of Third Wave of Covid-19 has wreaked havoc in Nagpur city, and Nagpur Police Department who has been maintaining the law-and-order situation from ground zero, has been hit hard by the pandemic.
