Liquor shop burgled in Koradi

Nagpur: Some unidentified thieves broke open the lock of a liquor shop and fled with liquor stock and cash collectively worth Rs 1,29,670 in Koradi.

According to police, the incident occurred between 6 pm of Wednesday 12 noon of Thursday. The complainant Deepak Ghasiram Verma (28), resident of Dahegaon, Saoner tehsil had locked his shop situated in Nazeer Colony, Bokhara road on Wednesday evening. The shop remained closed for next couple of days as it was prohibited day declared by the administration owing to polls.

Taking advantage of the situation, some unidentified persons barged into the shop by breaking the latch of the main door and made their escape good with stock of country made and foreign liquor bottles.

Verma then lodged a complaint with Koradi police on the basis of which the police registered a case under section 454, 457, 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have began the probe.
