Salman Khan starrer 2015 Eid blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan directed by Kabir Khan is all set to hit the silverscreen in China soon, reports suggest. The film, which went on to break several Box Office records in India, will release in China with a bizarre title. Yes, you read that right.
According to the latest reports, Bajrangi Bhaijaan has been titled Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle! Well, this sounds crazy because there was no need to use an allegory to describe Bajrangi. Moreover, the title of the film in Hindi has no reference to the role of the little girl Munni played by Harshaali Malhotra. But for some weird reason, Little Lolita has been incorporated in the title.
Wonder why Little Lolita even finds a mention in the title when the character played by the little girl is named Munni. Also, its sounds awkward, given the fact that “aaooo Lolita”, is a funny phrase popularised by Bollywood’s onscreen villain Shakti Kapoor!
The super-hit film also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most successful Hindi films of all times.
The film revolves around the beautiful bond between an Indian man and a Pakistani deaf and mute child who gets lost in India. Pavan (played by Salman), who happens to be an ardent devotee of Lord Hanuman, puts his life at stake while safely escorting the child and handing her over to her parents in her hometown across the border.
China has a huge market for Indian films. Not too long ago, Aamir Khan starrer Dangal had taken the Chinese Box Office by storm by becoming the biggest non-Hollywood film to release in the country.
