Nagpur: Under the aegis of Welfare Department of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) long awaited canteen in its headquarters was inaugurated today on June 1, 2016.
The canteen was inaugurated at the hands of female workers of the company in gracious presence of its Chairman cum MD Rajiv R. Mishra and Director (Personnel) Dr. Sanjay Kumar.
While addressing the employees Mishra said that this canteen would be running under the supervision of female workers committee of WCL so that the staff & visitors can get quality snacks and food here. This is to be noted that the canteen of WCL headquarters was defunct since about seven – eight years. The present management had taken a lead and succeeded in the mission of opening the canteen with the help of leaders of trade unions, members of steering committee, members of welfare board, officers & staff of the company. This positive step of the management was appreciated by all.
