Nagpur: Archbishop Elias Gonsalves presided over the solemn Mass on Sunday gave the message emphasizing importance of service and human relationship in families and said that Mother Mary is role model of these virtues.
Bishop Gonsalves was giving his homily at the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes at the Grotto of Mother Mary at Seminary hills in Nagpur.

Thousands of devotees from across Central India thronged to famous Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in Seminary hills on Sunday and celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
In 1858, Mother Mary appeared to Bernadette in Lourdes, prompting the establishment of pilgrimage sites worldwide, including the Lourd Mata Mandir in Nagpur in 1892. Mr. G.B.
Heysmond, unable to fulfill a pilgrimage vow, donated funds to build a Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes in Nagpur instead. Initially neglected, the site was later developed by the Dominican Fathers and declared a pilgrim center in 2000 by Archbishop Abraham, attracting thousands of visitors and granting numerous favors to devotees.
Holy Mass in various regional language were held on the feast day.
Devotees participated in adoration and healing service, followed by a solemn Mass which presided over by Archbishop Elias Gonsalves.
A procession with Mother Mary’s Doli was also taken out with devotees participating in the procession.
A fellowship meal was also served to all devotees visiting the shrine. Devotees from diverse backgrounds visited the shrine, seeking solace and blessings, often finding fulfillment and grace.
