Lower voter turnout in Nagpur as 38.43% voting recorded till 3 pm

Gadchiroli-Chimur witnessed the highest 55.79 percent voting till 3 pm while 40.10 percent voters exercised their franchise in Ramtek

Nagpur: A low voter turnout is being seen in Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency as it recorded 38.43 percent voting till 3 pm.

In the Nagpur Central segment, voting percentage was recorded at 35.70 till 3 pm. Nagpur South-West saw the highest voting with 42 percent at the time. Nagpur East also witnessed 41.35 percent voting. Nagpur North segment recorded the lowest voting at 32.02 percent. Nagpur South recorded 39.81 percent while 39.73 percent voters turned out in Nagpur West till 3 pm.

The Ramtek constituency recorded 40.10 percent voting till 3 pm. In the constituency, Hingna segment saw voter turnout at 31.10 percent. Kamptee 38.56 percent, Katol 41.79%, Ramtek segment 45.33%, Saoner 42.59% and Umred segment recorded the highest 46.08 percent voting till 3 pm.

Of the five constituencies going to polling in Vidarbha in the first phase of Lok Sabha election, Gadchiroli-Chimur witnessed the highest 55.79 percent voting till 3 pm. Bhandara-Gondia was next with 45.88 percent voting while Chandrapur constituency recorded 43.48 percent voting till 3 pm.
