Nagpur: The Congress candidate in Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency and West Nagpur MLA Vikas Thakre is taking out a rally in South Nagpur on Monday, April 1, morning to bring the voice of the common people from the street to Delhi. Along with him, prominent leaders of the INDIA Alliance will also be present. “Common citizens are fed up with rising unemployment, inflation, abuse of constitutional and Central institutions by rulers at the Centre,” Thakre said.
Earlier on Sunday, Thakre held a meeting with office-bearers in various parts of Nagpur. Every meeting was attended by a large number of workers. He said that he is getting a great response from the citizens and the public will teach the liars a lesson.
The Thakre also been announced that the Republican United Alliance has extended to support to him in the poll. Earlier the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi had also announced its support to Thakre. The leaders of the Republican United Alliance said that there will be a direct fight between people’s power and money’s power.
The Jan Ashirwad Yatra started by offering garlands at Rajabaksha Hanuman Mandir. The rally criss-crossed various areas including behind Aureus Hospital-Wanjari Nagar, Railway Ground, Petrol Pump, Kukde Layout area, New Apostolic School area, behind Joshi Wadi area, Manawata School Chowk, Kunjilal Peth area, Babulkheda area after garlanding the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The rally also passed through cement road in front of Bank of Maharashtra, Medical Chowk, Sainath School Road, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar College from front to Pragati Nagar Road, Labour Thiya Chowk, Manewada Road, Kudrat Pan Mandir, Dyaneshwar Nagar Gate, Siddheshwar Hall Chowk, Sharda Chowk, Jawahar Nagar, Police Quarters, Bal Hanuman Mandir Chowk, Mahakalkar Building. The rally stopped at Sudhanshu Auditorium, Surve Layout, Sonzari Nagar, Mahakalkar Auditorium, Bidipeth, Ashirwad Nagar and Rajalakshmi Auditorium where a large number of people turned up as support for the Congress candidate Vikas Thakre.
On the occasion of Easter Sunday, Vikas Thakre met Archbishop Most Rev Elias Gonsalves at SFS Cathedral Church and extended his greetings.
