Nagpur: A truck and a luxury bus collided near Maruti Showroom Square on Kamptee Road. However, no casualties have been reported in the accident that took place on Thursday night. Eyewitnesses said the mishap occurred as the driver of the luxury bus jumped the traffic signal and rammed his vehicle on the truck. Both vehicles suffered major damages.
According to police, the Blue Line Company’s luxury bus (MP-20/PA 0898) was going towards Kamptee from Nagpur on Thursday night. Around 11.30 pm when the bus reached near Maruti Showroom Square, the driver jumped the traffic signal and speeded his vehicle ahead.
In the process, the driver lost control and crashed into the truck (MP-04/CP 9575) which was either coming from opposite direction or was in front of the bus. Both the vehicles suffered major damages in the collision. However, the passengers of the luxury bus and both the drivers had a providential escape as no casualties were reported.

Jaripatka cops on being informed about the accident reached the spot and restored the traffic and seized the truck and luxury bus. On the basis of truck driver Machhindra Khairnar (29), a Jalgaon resident, cops have registered a case against the unidentified bus driver and investigating the matter further.
