Graduates from this field should start profitable industries in animal husbandry, dairy and fish farming.”

The Governor appreciated the faculty-graduates of the university for saving the lives of many animals during the year 2022 by eradicating lumpy skin disease and also for the conservation of indigenous cows. Recalling that he had visited the Wildlife Rescue and Training Centre at Gorewada near Nagpur two months ago, the Governor said more efforts were needed to reduce human wildlife conflicts.

Dr Anil Kumar Srivastava, remarked, “The impact and overall value of the white revolution in the dairy sector was greater than the Green Revolution. Extreme changes in climate will have a major impact on agriculture and foodgrain production. It is necessary to tap the huge potential of the animal husbandry and aquaculture industry in the State as well as in the country.”
