Nagpur: The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Nagpur Metro Rail Project) has suspended a security guard posted at Ujjwal Nagar Station for defrauding his own relative of Rs 50,000 by promising a job in Maha Metro in Nagpur.
The accused security guard has been identified as Rupesh Shende, who allegedly deceived his relative, Akshay Nagrale, by promising him the job in exchange of money. After Nagrale lodged a complaint with the Ajni Police Station, Nagpur Metro officials launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
During questioning by Maha Metro officials, Shende confessed to have accepted Rs 50,000 from Nagrale in lieu of a position in Nagpur Metro.
Nagpur Metro officials have emphasized on the need for job applicants to rely on credible sources for job information, such as the official Maha Metro website and the Metro Bhavan office. The official channels provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding recruitment processes, safeguarding individuals from falling victim to deceptive practices and false promises.
