State Congress President Nana Patole will contest from Sakoli, and Vijay Wadettiwar, Leader of Opposition, from Bramhapuri. Despite high expectations, the first list did not introduce any new faces from Vidarbha.

This announcement follows the tri-party alliance’s seat-sharing formula, where Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena (UBT) will each contest 85 seats. The remaining 23 constituencies, including some in Nagpur, are expected to be announced soon, potentially accommodating smaller allies like the Samajwadi Party and CPI.
